Who are the people behind i-Clinic?
Wouter H.W. Dral

After studying electrical engineering in Rotterdam, I joined an American company to work as a service engineer from copiers and micrographics systems. Was quickly switched to a commercial function. Then I was asked to assist in the automation of the sales department. Together with an Italian system house this was the basis for my IT career.

Through an English company I am infected with the virus MUMPS (mumps) and got in that programming environment to develop systems for hospitals. As chairman of the MUMPS-user group Netherlands I, along with colleagues from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, a lot of work and is the basis for the automation of general practitioners, hospitals, medical specialists, physiotherapists and chiropractors.

At the age of 30 I started my own company for the automation of businesses and clinics. In 2004 we received the Innovation Award, a prize for inventing and making the most intelligent software. Twice we won the Business Award, an award from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Chambers of Commerce, for the best presentation of our business.

Now we keep, as a company, engaged in the automation of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practices, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Speech correctors and Thermographs.

In recent years I have besides my HBO computer science studies built a business. That company, Dral Dynamic Design in Rotterdam, is engaged in designing and building websites and photography.

To maintain my knowledge I regularly follow courses. In the meantime I have my MCE (Microsoft Certified Engineer).

Besides my work in IT, I have a great passion for photography and I'm regularly in a photo studio or anywhere outside at work. Through the photography I came in contact with the Urban Photo Collective a few years ago and now I am active on the board as a community manager for the foundation.
